We are seeking a talented and creative Textile Designer to join our new start up.
As a part time freelance Textile Designer, you will play a pivotal role in this start - up with the conceptualization, creation, development and execution of bedding textile concepts created by the founder. The ideal candidate will have an astute eye, strategic thinking, open creativity and experience in developmental processes from start to finish with experience in all areas of the product design and development realm.
We are looking for someone who is a team player that is willing to take on small and large tasks alike, is a self-starter, initiative take, forward thinker and can multitask with the ability to work both a team and independent working environment

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must have work Visa in the USA
Applicants must be NYC - based and able to travel to the CLDG office and sites. In-studio-office work required. At home work can be done from time to time. Flexible work schedule within the work day.
Bachelor’s degree textile design or related field
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling information and documentation and have a skillset and motivation to take ownership of projects and see them from start through installation.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Must be organized, punctual, highly motivated, flexible and have excellent verbal and written communication skills within the company and vendors.
Must be proficient in English and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven experience as a Textile Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of designs
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools.
Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes and materials.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work within deadlines.
Experience in vendor relations and manufacturing process
Your Responsibilities:
Responsibilities: Work with the founder and designer on the following:
Research and Concept Development (trend forecasting, branding, marketing and sales strategies, line development, seasonality launch)
Design (from concept to functional tech packs, if needed, /specs for both products and packaging)
Sourcing (reviewing tech packs with factories/mills, collaborating across product categories and artisans, strike-offs and technique approvals, and sampling
Production (sample approvals, bulk runs, final packaging implemented)
Logistics ( in collaboration with an in-house administrative team) (shipping/freight/duty/port details, warehouse/retail/direct to consumer, e-commerce ready etc)
